As I have been learning in this course, and in the PIPD program altogether, I have come across some great teacher resources that are a real goldmine. Below is a quick list of some of these online tools that I have either used, or will use in my practice. These will be updated as I go.
This is a rich resource of teacher driven, and teacher inspired videos. As they say in their “About Us” page, “Our goal is to provide an online community for sharing instructional videos. We seek to fill a need for a more educationally focused, safe venue for teachers, schools, and home learners. It is a site to provide anytime, anywhere professional development with teachers teaching teachers. As well, it is a site where teachers can post videos designed for students to view in order to learn a concept or skill. “
Faculty Focus publishes articles on effective teaching strategies for the college classroom — both face-to-face and online.
